The Economic Development Corporation of Erie County, Inc. serves as the lead economic development agency for the County for programs and services related to: providing ready-to-go land and buildings for business expansion and relocation; financing, via federal, state, and local low-interest taxable and tax-exempt bond and loan programs; technical assistance via a partnership with the Gannon SBDC; grant identification, application, monitoring, and auditing assistance; brownfield assessment, remediation and redevelopment for industrial uses.

The Corporation works in conjunction with other local and state economic development organizations, as well as with municipalities and governmental entities, to provide the programs, products, and services that companies need to be successful in Erie, Pennsylvania. The EDCEC will work with a client to identify its needs, and will bring in all other agencies or organizations that can meet those needs in the most efficient manner.

The Annual Report is presented each January at the Employer of the Year Awards Dinner to celebrate the investments made throughout the community over the prior year.
